A thank you note to Michael J Ferguson

Michael first got in touch with me in 1998, shortly after I’d begun telling my intuitive stories. He said he was bowled over by what he’d heard and wanted to help me share what I had with the world.

Over the following 13 years Michael was the single biggest supporter of my work. He built the first Stories of the Journey Home website in 2002 and began the regular podcast in 2005, which has since reached tens of thousands of listeners all over the world.

However, we didn’t make a lot of money in those years, certainly nothing to justify the hundreds of hours that Michael put in. But he wasn’t doing it for the money. He was doing it because he was deeply touched by the stories and wanted to contribute to other people by helping to get them out to the world.

It’s really hard to imagine how I would have kept going without Michael’s support during those difficult years. The work was still incubating inside me, and I was at times filled with deep doubts and insecurities about what I was doing. Michael’s steady belief in the stories, and his support and friendship made a crucial difference to me.

Michael decided recently to devote most of his energy to his own projects, and I support that fully. I have not been the only person whose work he has encouraged over the years. We have parted with much gratitude and appreciation.

I don’t have the sense of this work incubating inside me anymore. Rather the feeling is of something ripe and strong. But for every person that the stories touch, I will think of Michael’s steady support in those early years, and thank him for what he helped to nurture.
